Sharon Richardson, Aspen Lead Teacher

Sharon Richardson is a passionate Montessori educator with over twenty years of experience guiding both public and private Montessori programs.  She holds a BA in Psychology from Boston University and received her AMS primary Montessori certification, as well as her public school teaching credential at Saint Mary’s College of CA.  Sharon founded and directed Sprouts Montessori Children’s House and Montessori del Mar Charter Learning Center in Fort Bragg, CA prior to joining the River Song staff.  She has worked as teacher and principal for the San Francisco Unified School District, and as toddler and primary guide at Santa Cruz Montessori School.  Sharon has also spread her love for Montessori education abroad as a consultant for Batari Educare Center in Sumatra, and for the Starfish Country Home School in northern Thailand.  She is a proud new member of the Bend community and is excited to join River Song family.  When not in the classroom, you will probably find Sharon exploring the Bend outdoors with her three children and dog, or singing in a local choir.

Megan Rosevear, Birch Lead Teacher

I am from Salem/Keizer in the Willamette Valley.  Currently I have 11 years experience in the Montessori setting.  In the summer of 2017 I completed my AMI Montessori Primary training.  When I am not in the classroom I enjoy playing handbells and working backstage for community theater.  I look forward to being a part of the River Song School community.

Amber Dean, Cedar Teacher

My name is Amber Dean and I am a mother to 3 beautiful children. I have been working within a Montessori classroom for 10 years now and have officially completed my training to be a certified Montessori teacher. My hobbies include photography, being outside with my kids, swimming, and walking my dog. I am born and raised right here in Bend. Teaching children has been a passion of mine for many years and am looking forward to serving the community.

Julie Stamper, After Care Director

I would like to introduce myself as the new After Care Director and Assistant in Aspen and would like to tell you a little about myself and my history in childcare.  My name is Julie Stamper, a mother of two and a grandmother of five.  Children have been a passion of mine, for as long as I remember.  The beginning of my childcare experience was in the late 1980’s.  I revisited that career choice in 2005 when opening my own childcare facility.  The 10 years I spent in childcare provided me with a deeper understanding of children and their needs.  My hobbies include spending time outdoors, kayaking, hiking, photography, and spending time with my grandchildren.  My passion is building a better future for society.  This may be accomplished by developing a child’s self-esteem and providing the necessary tools for them to make the best possible choices now and in their future.  Together, we can accomplish this goal. I look forward to meeting each of you.
